My adventures in Cambodia began with an invitation to join Fish Island Community Arts Centre (FICAC) – a super-creative hub of empowerment for girls and young adults in Kampot, celebrating 5 years going strong 🎉🎉
Well…once I heard ‘blaxploitation soundtracks’ and ‘kung-fu funk’ in their post, I took this as a personal invitation!
And here I am; amongst all of the buzz before the first night of the event. The work they do here is fantastic, and the kids are just gorgeous, very blessed to be spinning for their Salt Fields Trash-Fashion Show and the afterparty tonight & tomorrow, and taking part in some Lost Tracks Cambodian psych-exploration with the maestro @spacemangram in the vinyl lounge…
The music is gonna be glorious, with live performances from indigenous Bunong musicians from the mountains of Mondulkiri, and psychedelic fantasy Cambodian bongo band, The Cosmic Bongs
All proceeds to support FICAC 💖
